My name is Ezra Kihara. Most of you know me as a photographer or a cinematographer. Well, am also a content writer with a desire to communicate in an appealing and effective way. Talk of having an idea that you want it to be in a video form, well, that`s where I come in. So, you’ve got footage that`s maybe a little rough around the edges (or, let`s be honest, rougher like a cat`s tongue). That`s where I swoop in. Am talking about turning your ‘’ meh’’ videos to ‘’wow, did I really do that?’’ kind of videos. You are asking about my secret sauce? Well, I don`t just edit videos, I tell stories. Think of me like a story sculptor, but with pixels and sound waves. But all this doesn`t really identify me wholly. I mean, who am I really?
It is said that the greatest invention one can make is to understand their purpose in life. It is understanding the key reason as to why you came in to this world and your integral contribution to the world as a whole. Some scholars also say that the richest place is the graveyard because many people who died didn`t fulfill their purpose, while others died with their knowledge. It`s so sad to believe that this is the truth.
Well, I`ve always wanted to be different. To know my purpose in this world. As from a tender age, I`ve always wanted to identify who I am. What is my calling. And like every other child, going to school felt like the key to knowing my true purpose. And I remember my junior school teacher used to tell me to know my worth. She insisted on identifying my talent of which up to know, I am yet to know, ha!!
But years have passed still chasing ‘’the me I never know.’’ But the questions I always ask myself are, what are my greatest capabilities? What`s really my worth? Who am I really? What more can I do? Pretty hardcore to answer, right? Am a strong believer that my future is bright, but what’s really in the future? Is it really career chattered? What is it like?
Well, what more can you do if not to study and gain skills to improve yourself? All this are effort to identify your true self. As a communication expert, relating with people have greatly helped me know myself. Am talking about knowing how to handle different situations in regards to the people involved. As a writer, I have also known a way to deal with different emotions in my life by documenting them down and converting them into interesting stories.
Am yet to know who I am really but as you can tell, I`ve done some efforts towards that. I`ve also learnt that knowing myself isn`t a one-day miracle. It`s a process. My take home to you is that, you need to take time with yourself and know yourself, learn skills that will help you improve yourself and lastly believe in yourself. You can do it. Just try to identify who you are.
